このたび、チェコのオストラヴァ市と大阪市が姉妹都市提携を結ぶにあたって、オストラヴァ市にあるチェコ野球リーグのArrows Ostravaというチームから、野球を通して交流ができないかというお話がありました。同チームには、昨年行われたWBCで日本の大谷翔平選手から三振を奪ったチェコ代表のサトリア選手が在籍しています。そして昨年11月、チェコ日本文化センターの方が来校された際に、本校野球コースとArrows Ostravaで提携を結ぶにいたりました。写真は、履正社からのレターを受け取るサトリア選手です。

具体的な交流の内容についてはまだ未定ですが、本年9月に大阪市長がオストラヴァを訪問するタイミングで、本校野球コースとの交流戦を企画しているそうです。

Recently, there have been discussions about establishing a sister city partnership between Ostrava City in the Czech Republic and Osaka City. In connection with this, there was a suggestion from the Czech baseball team “Arrows Ostrava” that through baseball, they could engage in cultural exchange activities. This team includes Mr. Satoria, a player from the Czech national team who struck out Japan’s Shohei Ohtani in the WBC held last year. In November of last year, when representatives from the Czech Japan Cultural Center visited, an agreement was reached to form a partnership between our school’s baseball course and Arrows Ostrava. While the specific details of the exchange activities are still undecided, there are plans to organize a friendly match between our school’s baseball course and Arrows Ostrava in September of this year, coinciding with the visit of the Mayor of Osaka to Ostrava City.
